Shipping and Overseas Agents

We have a worldwide network of highly recommended agents to look after your removal, set up of furniture & door deliver. They know the removal industry and they know what documents and paperwork are needed to clear customs and to obtain delivery of your goods. Some destinations have strict quarantine laws such as Australia (AQIS), where you need to use new and clean export cartons and certain items are best left altogether such as bamboo or cane furniture. For Australia all containers are unpacked with customs inspections and are then re-loaded to removal type vehicles for onward delivery to your door. For clients moving to Australia they should consider contacting us first for a separate appraisal to ensure you do not pack/ship items that are restricted.

All our Agents in Australia are fully registered with Customs and are efficient at onward delivery of your household contents. We allow you to pay them directly for their services in Australian Dollars, saving you money and currency exchange risk. You will of course have a indicated price structure agreed prior to shipping, so no unpleasant surprises.

FCL - Full Container.

For many families the use of a dedicated sole use container is the best solution. If you are moving your family overseas or if you have quite a lot of furniture items and effects then you will probably need this. They come in 20ft, 40ft or 40ft High Cube sizes and offer a cubic capacity of around 25-60 m3. We find most people opt for a 20ft and downsize disposing of any of the rubbish they no longer need or had forgotten about , but we have also shipped 40ft containers if it’s a big family or clients want to ship a car.

Car Shipping.

For many destinations we can arrange cars/MPV’s etc to be shipped by ro/ro ferry or in containers - either with or without personal effects. Similar services can be offered for Boats & Bikes.

Pal-Pack Service.

‘Pal-Pak’ for down-sized shipments is worth considering where clients do not have enough for a container but also don’t want to wait for somebody going to the same destination, which could be many weeks. The way we approach it is to export pack small furniture pieces and cartons of effects onto standard fibreboard pallets. Typically, each item will be bubble-wrapped, covered in corrugated cardboard and then shrouded in shrink-film. Once the items are individually packed they are then assembled onto export pallets (which are also covered, black-filmed and cargo strapped) making best use of space and shipped out overseas in a consolidated LCL Container. We have weekly departures to most destinations - you are not expected to wait for weeks on end until we have ‘something to go with it’ like some removals companies.
