Domestic Collections

There are a number of options available regarding this part of the removal. Especially on smaller consignments some of our customers are quite happy to hire a van for the day, load their pre-packed effects & furniture and bring to us at our depot in Witham. We allow this, unlike some of the removal companies and this can give some cost reductions for our clients.

We are also able to offer a full collection service where due to access a container cannot be loaded directly or there is a need to store prior to shipment abroad.

Containers loaded at your home.

For full container moves, the export container is placed at the premises on the day, the loading will take place directly into the container, we stow and secure this and it is then sealed and delivered to the port for export with fumigation if required. If the container needs to be placed on the ground, for example to load a car, then we make use of special equipment that can position the container from the chassis to the ground to facilitate this.

Marine Insurance.

We can offer full marine insurance through our open cover with Aviva (NU) at £300,000 maximum per shipment.

We can offer 2 levels of cover:

Cover 1 “All Risks”

Cover 2 “with some exceptions/limitations”

The premiums vary for Europe & World Wide destinations and whilst not compulsory many shippers prefer the peace of mind Marine Insurance brings in the event of a claim or in the unlikely event of general average being declared by the shipping line.
